Private, co-educational liberal arts college, offering Associate in Arts and Associate in Applied Science degrees in business administration, early childhood education, health information technology, liberal arts, nursing, office technology, radiologic technology, surgical technology, hospitality management, medical assistant, computer network support technology, business transportation and trucking, massage therapy, and environmental technology, and academic certificates in ecocardiology, diagnostic medical sonography, and ten business-related areas.

Established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1958 to educate religious women. Originally named Sancta Maria Junior College. The program was expanded in 1965 to include lay women, offering concentrations in liberal arts, nursing, executive secretarial, and medical secretarial. In 1967, the name was changed to Trocaire College (Trocaire is the Gaelic word meaning "mercy"). Male students were admitted in Fall 1972. The college holds a charter from the Board of Regents of the State of New York and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
