Ewing Vinton and Company.
The Ewing Vinton and Company was a salt works co-owned by Thomas Ewing and Samuel Finley Vinton, and located in Chauncey (Athens County), Ohio. Thomas Ewing was never involved in company affairs, but merely owned most of the company's stock. Although chiefly concerned with selling and trading salt, the company also dealt in other products such as tobacco and flour.
