Gullager, Amandus Christian, 1759-1826.

Christiam Gullager was born in Denmark in 1759; he emigrated to the United States between 1782 and 1786. Gullager's American portrait painting was done largely in Boston, after he arrived there in 1789, and in New England. His best known work was a portrait of George Washington, done in Boston in October 1789.
