Alice Berberian Haidostian has been a volunteer and fundraiser for many cultural groups. She is involved especially with musical organizations and Armenian interests. A few of her many activities and memberships include: president of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Women's Association, Michigan Opera Theatre trustee, Pro-Mozart Society, Tuesday Musicale, Detroit Pro-Musica, founding member of the Oakway Symphony, Orchestra Hall, University of Michigan Armenian Student Cultural Association advisory council, Detroit Science Center and the Detroit Armenian Women's Club. A September 14, 1986 Detroit Free Press article estimated she had collected $1.5 million for various organizations. She received a BA and a MA in music literature from the University of Michigan Alice Berberian was born c. 1926 in Detroit. Alice and her husband, Dr. Berj Haidostian (1914 -1993) have a son and two daughters.
