Mickle family.
John Joseph Mickle, born in 1796, was a planter in Lowndes County, Ala. He served in the Mexican War and also as adjutant general for Alabama. His children included Elizabeth Starke Mickle Cook, Cornelia Mickle Cook, Rebecca Mickle Rice, Annie Mickle Bettis, Belton and John Mickle.
