James Warner Bellah (1899-1976) was a novelist, short-story writer and author of western movie scenarios. He was a prolific writer, particularly western subjects; a war correspondent and a world traveler. He wrote 20 novels and more than 100 short stories, and a number of screenplays including "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance."
