The International Credit Association (ICA) was organized to educate individuals on the importance of good financial credit. According to the 1994 Local Association Guide, the ICA mission statement was "to provide support, research and other services for those whose business or professional affiliation is to provide financial services or extend credit. The earliest references to the Grand Forks ICA Chapter date fall 1982. Members of the ICA organization attended local, district and national meetings and conferences and sponsored seminars andlectures on the importance of good financial credit. Grand Forks ICA members also worked to educate UND studentsregarding the importance of maintaining good financial credit. The Grand Forks ICA chapter disbanded December 31, 1998.
