J. Alan Smith (1900- ) was an airline pilot during the twentieth century. Smith learned to fly at Boeing School of Aeronautics and the U.S. Navy Flying School during the late 1920s and early 1930s. He flew for Pacific Air Transport (1931-1932), Boeing Air Transport (1932-1934), and United Airlines (1934-1960).
