Whitelaw, Roy, 1891-1952

Roy Melsyd Whitelaw (no. 8341) enlisted on 11 August, 1915 and served as a Sergeant with the 2nd Australian Motor Transport Company from Egypt, France and England, and was repatriated to Australia on 7 July, 1919. Born in Feb. 1891, he was employed in the family painting business, as a jackaroo, and by several Melbourne firms before he enlisted. After the war, he founded Whitelaw Spring Co. He died in 1952.
