Scenic designer.

Cristini came to Indiana University as a Fullbright scholar in 1959 and in 1961 was appointed faculty chair of the newly formed department of Stage Design and Technical Production in IU's School of Music, in which position he remained until his death in 1970. In addition to set and costume designs for Indiana University opera and ballet productions, Cristini also designed sets for many of the leading opera houses of the world, including Paris, Rome, the San Carlo opera in Naples, and the Houston Opera's production of Aida.
