McCarty, Reuben, b. ca. 1795.

Hide Profile

Reuben McCarty was a surveyor and County Clerk in Pendleton County, Kentucky. He was born ca. 1795, married Polly Porter in 1815, and died sometime between 1862 and 1870. His connection to the Fisher family is uncertain. Robert J. Fisher was a businessman originally from Kentucky who married Julia Holton of Covington and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, then to California. Fisher was president of the Vekol Milling and Mining Company located in Vekol, Pinal County, Arizona, and was Treasurer and board member for the Fort Wayne Gold Production Company. Their daughter, Maud, married Lucien Walker and eventually settled in Southern California. Their son, Paul E. Walker and his wife Helen may have been involved in missionary work in Africa in the early 20th century.
