Minot (Harvard, M.D. 1878) was a physician at the Boston Dispensary, Carney Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Best known for his work in the prevention and care of tuberculosis, he was one of the founders of the Boston Tuberculosis Association.

James Jackson Minot, 1852-1938, AB, 1874, Harvard College; MD, 1878, Harvard Medical School, was a physician at the Boston Dispensary from 1880-1889. Minot also served as a visting physician to the Carney Hospital and as a physician to the Out-patient Department of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. Minot specialized in the prevention and care of tuberculosis and was a founder of the Boston Tuberculosis Association.
