Robert E. Ward (1937- ), a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was an associate professor of German at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, from 1967 until 1973. As of 1979 he was a self-employed attorney at law in Cleveland, Ohio, and an adjunct professor of business administration at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. He was president of the Society for German-American Studies from 1976 to 1978 and in 1979 was president of the International Society of British Genealogy and Family History. As of 1979 he was a member of Palatines to America and the Ohio, Cuyahoga County, and Greater Cleveland bar associations. His major interests include German-American literature and genealogy.
