Association for the Abolition of the Means Test (Australia)
Established in 1965 by group of retired workers who were deemed ineligible for Commonwealth pensions due to savings and superannuation. Based mainly in Western Australia. Has developed unofficial ties with trade unions including the Australian Bank Employee's Union and the Retired Officer's Association. See also the papers of Mr Laurie Preston (MN 970, 979, 981).
