Powel, Samuel, 1673-1756
Samuel Powel (1673-1747?), whose life dates are uncertain, and his son Samuel Powel (1704-1759) engaged in mercantile pursuits in Philadelphia during the first half of the 18th century. Much of their business involved trade with England and the West Indies.
