Partridge, Jesse, 1742-1795

Jesse Partridge (1742-1795) of Medfield, Mass., and Gorham, Me., eventually settled in Falmouth (now Portland), Me., where he engaged in trading through the establishement of a general store, lumber mill, and a shipping enterprise, in addition to owning considerable real estate. Partridge served during the Revolution with a commission as captain in 1778.
