Cunningham, John, 1729-1773
Variant namesJohn Cunningham was a British actor and writer. Born in Dublin, his play Love in a Mist brought him a measure of success, and he travelled through England with a troupe of actors. An indifferent but enthusiastic performer, he settled in Newcastle and published several volumes of popular pastoral poetry.
