Staples, J. F. (James Frederick), 1929-
Variant namesProminent member N.S.W. Bar, appointed Deputy President of the Australian Conciliation and Arbitration Commission 1975. A former member of the Communist Party and the ALP and a foundation member of the Council for Civil Liberties, he has been a prominent crusader for civil rights, prison reform and other causes.
