Kansas affiliate of an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Founded 1881 as the Social Science Club of Kansas and Western Missouri; affiliated with General Federation of Women's Clubs, 1890; changed name to Kansas State Social Science Federation (1895), Kansas Federation of Women's Clubs (1904), and present name (1985).
