University of Colorado Glee and Mandolin Clubs (Boulder, Colo.)

Hide Profile

According to Glory Colorado!, William E. Davis' history of the University of Colorado (1965; p. 132), a singing quartet accompanied by a banjo club made a successful tour of the state in the spring of 1892, and the next year a glee and banjo club of 17 men under the director of Professor Farnsworth gave 21 concerts around Colorado, thus beginning the history of a performing group whose performances remained popular past the turn of the century.
