Prescott, Roswell, 1844-1916
Resident of Buxton, Me.; served with Company A, 27th Maine Infantry Volunteers during the Civil War; was captured and held as prisoner of war but escaped from Libby Prison in Richmond, Va.; received a Congressional Medal of Honor for his exceptional military service.
