Variant namesRobert Hamilton came to Indiana at the age of 14. He studied medicine at Brownsville and Waterloo. He lived first at Waterloo and Hillsboro, then settled at Lynn in Randolph County, where he maintained a successful practice as a physician. He also served during the Civil War with the 19th Indiana Volunteer Infantry.
