Thurston, George N.
Variant namesCaptain George N. Thurston of New Orleans, Louisiana, was a Mississippi River steamboat captain and president of the New Orleans Ice Company. Thurston was also a sugar planter at Baskerville Plantation in St. Mary Parish, but he apparently rented this plantation. He and his wife, Mary, had a son, Webster, and a daughter, Georgia.
