Residents of South Carolina; Edwin Kerrison, a merchant of Charleston, S.C., was killed in action, 8 May 1864, at Spotsylvania, Va. while serving in the Confederate Army; his older brother Charles began his Confederate military service in 1861 as a private, and by 1864 had achieved the rank of Major.
