Eleanor Howland Bunce was the Executive Secretary to A. Everett Austin, Director of the Wadsworth Athenaeum and to Alfred Barr, Director of the Museum of Modern Art. During the course of her career, she became interested in and acquainted with many individuals involved in the visual arts. Died Feb. 22, 1999.
