Kenneth Oliver Sanborn (b. Apr. 30, 1913, Tamworth, N.H.-d. Dec. 25, 1990) received his commission as 2d lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 1937 and advanced through ranks to major general in the U.S. Air Force in 1955. He served as chief of staff of the Air Force Logistics Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from 1965 to 1968, and assumed command of the U.S. Air Forces Southern Command in June 1968. He retired from Air Force service on April 30, 1972.
