Tafolla family of San Antonio, Texas, was founded by Santiago Tafolla, Sr. (1837-1911), and includes many prominent Texas Mexican Americans, including Santiago (Jim) Tafolla, Jr., San Antonio judge and early LULAC leader, and Carmen Tafolla, writer.
