Phi Upsilon Omicron. Beta Chapter (North Dakota State University)
Phi Upsilon Omicron Fraternity, a national honor society in family and consumer sciences, began in 1909 at the University of Minnesota as the Home Economics Club and was legally incorporated in 1911. The Beta Chapter at North Dakota Agricultural College had its beginnings as a local sorority, Chi Gamma Psi, in 1912. In 1913 it petitioned the national for a charter and the Beta Chapter was installed on November 14, 1914.
