Pennsylvania State University. Women's Studies Program
The first class on women's studies was offered in 1973. The Women's Studies Program was formalized by the Board of Trustees in 1979 to promote research, scholarship, and teaching about women and gender-related issues. This multidisciplinary program is open to all undergraduates.
