Variant namesThe work of Evan Taylor Sage in this collection was completed in 1936, shortly before he died. According to his widow, Miriam S. Foote, the manuscript was to have been published by the American Philological Society, but the publication was not carried out.
Sage received his PhD from the University of Chicago.
