Clifton Mines.
Clifton Mines was located in Clifton, St. Lawrence Co., New York. The company and the railroad it owned operated for only a few years, 1864-1870. The ore bed was later bought (1942) and mining operations revived in 1944 by the M.A. Hanna Co.
