Draper, James T.
Variant namesSouthern Baptist pastor, writer, and denominational leader, who served as President of the Southern Baptist Convention, 1982-1984. Draper was viewed as a conservative and his election appeared to be a victory for the fundamental-conservative wing of the denomination. He has served as pastor of the First Baptist Church, Euless, Texas since 1975.
