John M. Crawford, Jr. (Brown Class of 1937) was a book collector, a philanthropist, and a collector of Oriental art. He had a particular interest in fine printing, illustrations, calligraphic manuscripts, and paper making. He bequeathed his books to the John Hay Library, Brown University.
