Theodore R. Milton (b. 1915, Hawaii), U.S. Air Force officer, enlisted in the Regular Army in 1934, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1940, and finished flying training and earned his pilot wings in 1941. During World War II, he served with the Eighth Air Force in England, flying B-17s. After the War he was chief of staff, Combined Airlift Task Force; director of operations, Military Air Transport Service; and executive assistant to the secretary of the Air Force. In 1957, General Milton became commander, 41st Air Division, Fifth Air Force, Japan; and in 1961 was assigned to the Philippines as commander, Thirteenth Air Force. Later in the 1960s, he served as inspector general, then comptroller of the Air Force at U.S. Air Force HQ. This highly-decorated officer also served as deputy chairman and U.S. Representative, NATO Military Committee, NATO HQ in Brussels, Belgium. He retired from Air Force service on July 1, 1974.
