M.L. Williams was Dean of Grubbs Vocational College and North Texas Agricultural College; Edward Everett Davis was Dean of North Texas Agricultuural College; and Ernest H. Hereford was Dean of North Texas Agricultural College and President of Arlington State College. The title of the chief administrator of the college was changed from Dean to President in 1949. Grubbs Vocational College changed its name to North Texas Agricultural College in 1923, then to Arlington State College in 1949.
