Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
IAFCS was founded as the Illinois Home Economics Association in 1921, the state affiliate to the American Home Economics Association. In 1994, both groups changed their names, and the national organization became the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
