MacLean, Charlotte E., 1845-1941.
Charlotte Ellen MacLean, the daughter of Obed P. and Charlotte A. (Ladd) MacLean, was born in Connecticut in March 1845. Little is known about her, except that she taught school in Glastonbury in 1870. Later, she and her sister Mary moved to East Hartford where Charlotte painted landscapes and Mary taught grammar school. They remained together until Charlotte's death on December 13, 1941 at the age of 96.
