Lois Patricia Philon (b. 1935) ran as a Democrat for the Indiana House of Representatives, District 32 in 1974 and 1978. She lost both races to Don Lash. She served on Crawfordsville City Council (Ward 2) from 1975 to 1979. Philon was highly active in the women's movement, serving on a number of boards and committees including the League of Women Voters of Indiana, the Indiana Women's Political Caucus, the Indiana Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., and NOW. She also served on the board of directors for the Family Crisis Shelter of Montgomery County, and was a staff worker for the Women in Politics Campaign Course (Indiana University, Indianapolis,1977.).
