David family.
Tannatt Edgeworth David was a geologist, Antartic explorer, writer and lecturer. Professor of Geology and Physical Geography at Sydney University, 1891-1924. Published 150 scientific publications and numerous articles. Caroline David had a long career of service to the community. Margaret McIntyre was the first woman to be elected to the Tasmanian State Parliament (1948). Conservationist and writer Mary Edgeworth David wrote about her family in "Passages of time" (1975).
