Faith Lutheran Church (Shelton, Wash.)

Rev. John DeBoer was called by the Lutheran Free Church to establish this congregation in 1948. The congregation first met at the Shelton Memorial Hall with 13 people in attendance. Formal organization took place March 6, 1949 and a site was purchased in 1952. A study was made to determine future plans. Property was purchased at the Mt. View area in 1964, and on July 31, 1976, the new building was begun, being dedicated on March 5, 1978, the congregation’s 29th anniversary.
