Griswold, Oscar W.
Oscar W. Griswold was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. He served in World War I (WWI) as an aide to General Henry C. Hale, 84th Division. During World War II (WWII), he was the commanding general (CG) of the XIV (14th) Corps from 1943-1945 and saw action in the Pacific Theater including the Solomons, Philippines, Lingayen Gulf, and Manila.
