Munro, David, 1844-1898.
David Munro ran an engineering and machinery supply business in Melbourne in the 1870s and 1880s and during this period contracted to build a number of Victorian railway lines, and Melbourne's Princes Bridge. Heavy speculation in land led Munro into bankruptcy in the land boom collapse of the late 1880s and he died in 1898.
