Stowers, Joseph

Joseph Stowers (1773-1851), a local official of Chelsea, Mass., was born on November 10, 1773 in Chelsea. He received an AB from Harvard in 1793 and an AM in 1796. He served as justice of the peace, town clerk, town-treasurer, selectman, and representative in Chelsea. Stowers died on August 31, 1851.
