Hubert Stonewall Judy (b. 1915, Woodward, Okla.-d. Aug. 19, 1985), U. S. Air Force officer, earned his commission and pilot wings in 1941 after graduating from university and serving in the Oklahoma National Guard. During World War II, he was deputy commander of a B-24 Group, assigned to the 8th Air Force, engaged in combat operations against Germany, logging 144 combat hours in B-24 aircraft. At the end of the War, he served as deputy to the Berlin air commander at Headquarters, Office of Military Government. In the early 1950s, General Judy served in the Mediterranean Area with NATO forces, and later was assigned to duty with the Air Force Research and Development Command. During the 1960s, he served with the Alaskan Command, as commander of the 32nd NORAD Region, and as deputy director of plans for advanced planning, Air Force Headquarters. He retired in 1967.
