Emmett Richards Hayes (1900-1973) became the thirteenth LDS missionary to enter Germany directly after WWI.

Emmett Richards Hayes was born 17 October 1900 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. His parents were William Lehi Hayes and Harriet Asenath Richards. Emmett became only the thirteenth Latter-day Saint missionary to enter Germany directly after WWI. Hayes married Myrtle Adelhi Johnson on 7 September 1929 in Tijuana, Baja, California Norte, Mexico. Emmett R. Hayes died on 16 May 1973 in Los Angeles, California.
