Smith, J. Ward.
Illinois Republican Representative from LaSalle County from 1939-1954. Earlville in LaSalle County, is the site of the first organized woman's suffrage association in Illinois. Mrs. Susan Hoxie Richardson, cousin of Susan B. Anthony, was the first president.
