Hughes, Edward Robert, 1851-1914.
Hughes, English painter of romantic and historical genre pictures and portraits, was the nephew of Arthur Hughes (1832-1915) and assistant and friend to W. Holman Hunt (1827-1910); all were Pre-Raphaelites.
