William Ignatius Blemly had worked with Harnett in the New York silver engraving shop of Wood and Hughes. He had been one of the pallbearers at Harnett's funeral, and from the 1880s to 1895 had kept clippings, photographs, and other memorabilia relating to Harnett which, at some unspecified time, were pasted into a scrapbook.
From the description of Blemly scrapbook, [not before 1895] (Metropolitan Museum of Art). WorldCat record id: 80247781
