Hide Profile

Arizona pilot and author.

Born in Boston, Ruth Reinhold began her career in aviation in the 1930's shortly after moving to Phoenix, Arizona. During the 1930's Ruth worked for Copperclad Airways; part of her pay included flying lessons. She obtained her pilot's license, became a pilot instructor, a commercial pilot, and, eventually, Barry Goldwater's personal pilot. A member of several historical and aviation organizations, Ruth began researching the history of aviation in Arizona, which resulted in the publication of her book, Sky pioneering, in 1982.
