Sherman, Gerald J.
Variant namesBiographical note: Mine superintendent, Bisbee, Ariz. Sherman worked for the Phelps Dodge Corporation in the early 1900s. He was employed at the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company, and later managed the Sacramento Hill Mine in Bisbee. The Sacramento Hill pit was the first open pit copper mine in Arizona and operated from 1917 to 1930.
